DCA taking over default

Hi guys, just a quick query please. I have 6 defaults, all now show the DCA on my credit report, apart from one which is Tesco Bank. I currently pay Westcot and thought it had been sold to them. If the default still shows on my credit report as Tesco Bank, does this mean they may not have sold it to them and that Westcot may just be managing it? It defaulted on 4th March 2024. Just curious. Thank you.

And in this scenario would I send a CCA request to Westcot or Tesco Bank? Thanks again0

If you want to send a CCA the first thing to do is stop paying it, then send it to Westcot. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.1

Wescot's role in debt collection is usually to act on behalf of a client bank, they don`t buy debts themselves anymore.
A CCA request should be sent to Wescot, as they are your point of contact, and have a duty to pass it on to their client, Tesco Bank.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
