@EvanderBlackmoor32 I must admit to a few eB linens this year. I had several wins from ERNIE and spent a little.
I gave a talk on vintage handkerchiefs to our local Women’s Institute, which could earn a useful fee if other branches need a speaker. I did get a free lunch.
£1 for a box of hand embroidered Irish linen handkerchiefs seems good value.
Paper tissues have chemicals which make allergies worse. Linen is naturally antibacterial and lasts for years, getting softer and whiter the more it is washed.

I'm off to food bank soon, its keeping me afloat at the moment but hopefully once my wages pick back up I'll be able to go back to donating to rather than collecting from.

The handkerchiefs are so pretty. I think they would work well in small patchwork projects.
Another day on the allotment here while we are still enjoying the sunshine. I think dinner tonight might just be something quick and easy. The electrician has just arrived to put a new element in the oven. If it works okay we might just have a pizza. I have managed okay between the hob, the slow cooker and the air fryer, but miss the oven for baking.9 -
My mother bought me a tablecloth made up of embroidered handkerchiefs. I used to have people over for afternoon tea.9

Good evening everyone,
Spent the morning ironing and then gardening. Have planed lettuce plugs and small spring onions that I grew from seeds. I have eight butternut squashes come up but sadly no courgettes as of yet.Spent the afternoon in the park with my DB, DM and DB girlfriend. We had a picnic. Tonight we had a roast dinner (chicken) as I'm doing a BF early tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed that I clear the car load from my DM bungalow (and make lots of money). If I can clear £100 then I won't need to touch my savings account for another month.I have received my 'thank you' £50 from Nationwide. I have put the money into premium bonds. Thanks for letting us know about the cheap 15p veg and half priced lamb.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

If anyone lives in East Sussex there is a little shop where you can sell your good quality clothes. The shop keeps half. I have sold clothes, shoes, bags and hats there. On Thursday, I bought a lovely blue and white striped top for £12 from this shop. I wish that we had a similar shop near where I live.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I was amused by the comments in a frugal living blog. There was another book recommendation, The Way Home by Mark Boyle, and the first two replies said they liked the sound of it and had bought the book, and the previous one. Me? I have ordered them free from the library.10

I always like to order the books from the library, but if they are reference books that I will look and use quite a bit, then after checking them out from the library I will buy a copy. Like to try before I buy,Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy6 -
