National Insurance before 2006

I have realised that I might have a couple of years of missed National Insurance Contributions from BEFORE 2006. Are they irretrievably lost now or is there a way I could top them up?

You're too late to make voluntary contributions.

If you think you should have been given credits (e.g. for Job Seekers Allowance / Home Responsibilities Protection / Child Benefit) then you might be in with a chance of challenging it with DWP/ HMRC.

but before you do so investigate whether filling those years would actually make a difference to your State Pension forecast (people here will be able to advise if you post up the details)
