No win no fee. Litigation funding agreement advice

Options
BPS solicitors closed down, I had a no win no fee, legal omissions and care finance claim in progress, I have received an e mail ….
If you have a live, ongoing case, you will need to instruct a new solicitor. It is likely that you entered into a Litigation Funding Agreement with a third-party funder to cover the costs of your case. Stephensons are unable to recommend a new solicitor, but your funder may be able to recommend a new solicitor. You may wish to contact your funder to discuss this further. We require your signed consent to enable us to disclose your contact details to your funder for them to contact you.
where do I stand as so worried I owe money somehow, and reluctant to sign anything else as is all received in my junk e mail.

Stevenson solicitors are managing things so which emails are going to the junk mail that you’re worried about?
You need to go back to your original paperwork that you signed with BPS and find the documents they suggest that you need with regards to the third-party funder. Then contact them directly to ask what you need to do. if you don’t have the original paperwork then ask Stevenson’s for a copy as they say they kept things safe.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • So Stevensons is the e mail I found in my junk mail, so if I just left it . Would I be liable for costs. I was initially contacted about the no win no fee. And it all seemed legitimate. Now I have had e mails stating I will be liable for costs. I don’t want to continue the claim , but does this mean I have to ?

You really need to find that funding agreement and see what it says before making any decisions.

I would imagine you would be liable for the costs so far. That's normally the way it works
  • Ok so then I likely need professional legal advice I wish I hadn’t bothered
