Lcs and EVRI scam

I was recently scammed.
First LCS started sending me emails about a property and company i had no connection to, saying that I owed money to them. I disputed these emails saying I have no connection to any of the above.
Then I got a text message from a mobile number claiming to be "EVRI" saying that I wasn't in and to arrange a redelivery by clicking on a link.
I clicked on the link (it didn't have evri on the name - should have checked) and entered my details.
Later that day I got a call from someone saying they were with the Barclaycard fraud team and that scammers had got my details and they were trying to reverse some transactions for £250 and £910 so they asked me to verify these transactions and asked me to say yes to these when messages from the bank came through. I hadn't done these transactions but they said I needed to confirm these so they can reverse the transactions.
I did that.
One of the transactions they tried to get through was for the same company name LCS were wrtting to me about, and therefore I think this is not a coincidence and this scam was linked to the LCS emails I received.
I confirmed all the transactions as they asked me to even though they were not mine. But then the scammers asked for the balance of my current account. Then I started to realise that the call wasn't genuine.
I called barclaycard explained everything and they cancelled my card. And said only the first transaction went through but not the others.
Certainly not good experience with the scammers but barclaycard handled everything really well and managed to stop most of the fraudulent transactions.
So I'm posting this so that people are aware, and if people on the phone are asking to confirm transactions that they are not yours, please don't. It's a scam. The bank would never ask you to do this.
