TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “WIN £2,000 CASH WITH BETFAIR AND THE FRIDAY NIGHT HITS SHOW ON HITS RADIO – BURST 02” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

This is a shared prize across the selected Hits Radio stations.  

 Entries are restricted to one (1) per person, where the winner may bring three friends/family members to join. Entrants must be over the age of 18 years old. Valid ID will be required.

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

There will be one [1] winner of this Competition on the radio show titled, ‘Friday Night Hits’ on Hits Radio, broadcasting between 19:00 – 22:00 on Friday 03 January 2025.  

 

To be eligible to win, entrants must go online to hitsradio.co.uk (See 1 Entry Route and Costs) and register their details to play with the following information: 

• Full name 
• Contact details 
• Date of birth
• Correctly answer the skill-based question

 

Successful entrants will then be shortlisted by randomised computer selection once the competition closes (See 3. Entry Period) at 11:59 AM on Wednesday 1st January 2025. The entrant must then be available to pre-record the competition, or join the presenter live on-air. This could take place at a reasonable time as agreed by the production team and the entrant between 12:00 PM Wednesday 1st January – 10:00 PM Friday 3rd January 2025.  

 

Entrants chosen to come on-air to participate in the on-air competition will only be deemed the winner once they are explicitly told they’ve won. 

 

The Hits Radio production team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.  

 

The on-air mechanic will be a simple question and answer game. The Entrant will need to correctly answer questions, each worth a different prize value (as detailed in section 5. The Prize). The total number of questions correctly answered will determine the final prize value the caller has won as this will be announced by the presenter at the end of the game as to the final value the caller has won.

 

Entering online does not guarantee you will be invited to play the game or win the prize.  

 

All final decisions will rest with the Hits Radio production team.

3. ENTRY PERIOD

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:

 

Online entries will be available to enter between the following times and dates:

00:01 AM 26/12/2024 (the “Start Time”) to 11:59 AM 01/01/2025 (“End Time”).

 

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

 

The winner announcements will take place on 03/01/25 during the Friday Night Hits Show on Hits Radio which broadcasts between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

• Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
• One entry per person.
• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

5. THE PRIZE

There will be 1 (one) winner of each Prize for this competition as listed below:

·      Up to £2,000 Cash paid via BACS

The Prize will be available to win in incremental values. The values are detailed below.

o  The first question is worth £250

o  The second question is worth £750

o  The third and final question is worth £1,000

Entrants can win a minimum of £250 and maximum of £2,000. Correct answers will be awarded when the presenter makes the announcement of a correct answer.

The Prize is provided by Bauer Media Group (the “Prize Provider”). Proof of identification and address will need to be provided to Bauer Media. The winner’s name, phone number, email and address will be cross checked against the Bauer Winner Database and only once they pass the criteria, they will be deemed the winner of the competition, and the prize will be sent by bank transfer. Bank details including an account number and sort code of a UK bank will need to be sent to Bauer Media Group to facilitate the prize.

 

Additional notes for this prize:

 

• Prizes are non-transferable.
• The prize excludes anything not expressly listed above.

 

Bauer Media Group will aim to send the prizes to the winner within 28 working days from the date they pass winner checks as mentioned above. However, there may be a delay due to potential unforeseen circumstances and therefore deliveries may take longer. Bauer Media Group will make necessary attempts to keep the winner up to date with details of any delays and when the winner can expect the prize.

Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 2.           INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

3.           MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
