Hi everyone, So, back in 2019 I took out 2 mobile phones with Sky Mobile, I had TV with them also. Now our Child sadly passed two weeks after her 18th unprepared for the costs of this etc I basically had to raise £5k and this meant bills stopped getting paid, the last payment was in April 2019 for the mobile, after a couple of missed payments a company called BPO chased then it was a few other companies, I still wasn't in the position to address this debt so ignored it. The Sky TV continued as this was much lower, only like £20 a month and was good for helping our other children take their mind of things. We continued with Sky TV until 2023 when we ditched then for Free Sat.

They didn't even send a default in 2023 or 2019 and the only reason I know is because on my credit file now shows a company with the wrong default date and the debt.0 -
ah, ok that makes sense now.
not sure why the 6 years would reset by just challenging the default date - but others may know better0 -
The cause of action date is deemed to be the date of default, that`s why.
But if you can stretch this until July, you can use the date of last payment and see how you fare.
Otherwise I don`t know what to tell you, wait it out until they start a claim against you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
