CCJ payments & expiry

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help as I can't find a definitive answer.
I currently have a CCJ that will expire from my credit report in the summer after 6 years. I'm making payments to it and have a agreement in place (direct with the agent, not via court order) that will clear it off in a few years time.
What standing is there if I cease payments once the CCJ has expired?
Not that I'm planning to, just want to explore my options.
Thanks

After a bit of research, they are removed after 6 years. I didn't think they were but they do. I think my brain fog is acting up again.I had one expire in 2023. I stopped paying it, I was only paying them 50p per month anyway, and the creditor hasn't done anything yet.I doubt they will.If you can keep paying it.1

If they do apply and the court approves it nothing happens in relation to your credit report, it's still removed from the public register after 6 years even if they are given more time to collect.1 -
I think the CCJ drops of your record, but that doesn't stop the creditor chasing the debt , however they do need to go back to court - I guess it depends on the creditor and the amount involved.1

They can only request an extension from the court within the initial 6 year time frame.
Once 6 years has expired, the court has no further hand in the matter.
Judgements are automatically removed after 6 years regardless of what you do, they are subject to the limitation act, just not section 5, its section 24, judgements are enforceable for 6 years from date of judgement.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
