Lowell Conundrum

Hi all,
I'm on a DMP through Stepchange & have been since 2019, two of the debts on that DMP were through Creation (Loan & Credit card), which were sold on to Lowell in March 2020. The loan had a default date of 3/20 but the credit card never had a default listed on it despite being sold on to Lowell - I
In 2022 I sought the help of the financial ombudsman, Lowell were marking my credit file every single month with late payment markers, despite receiving payments from my DMP, they refused to stop the late payments markers unless I made the original contractual payment amounts or cleared the balance in full in one payment.
The ombudsman looked into the circumstances behind why I'd fallen into so much debt so quickly & felt that I had a case of irresponsible lending against Creation, a complaint that Creation initially rejected but was then upheld by the ombudsman.
Ever since the complaint was upheld by the ombudsman, any entries relating to either of the Creation/Lowell debts have vanished from my credit file, I've had no communication from Lowell whatsoever in the past 2 years - not even an annual statement.
If I log on to the Lowell portal, the debts are there, the amounts have been altered to adhere to the decision from the ombudsman, but other than that there is no record anywhere through the credit reference anancies that the accounts exist.
It seems really odd behaviour from Lowell as they are normally on the front foot when it comes to chasing debt, has anyone ever experienced this?
The default is due to drop off my file in March 26, I'm tempted to CCA Lowell over both debts, curious as to if they have the original paperwork to enforce the debt & if not, the involvement of the ombudsman has put the wind up Lowell to just keep quiet & take the DMP Payments?
Any thoughts or experiences are very welcome as it just seems very odd from Lowell.

Lowell have not written to you for 2 years and there is no mention of either debt on your credit file. Is that right? If it's already gone from all 3 reports then nothing will happen in 2026.
The relevant question is whether stepchange should still be making payment.
You will be more flexible if you take over from them

Lowell won`t have your original paperwork as its always retained by the original creditor.
You need to check if stepchange are still paying them, and then do CCA requests.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Your credit agreement HIDDEN for Apple iPhone XS Max, 256GB, Silver was settled on 12/07/2019 and no further payments are due.
They didn't even send a default in 2023 or 2019 and the only reason I know is because on my credit file now shows a company with the wrong default date and the debt.0 -
