Lidl app gave me free cheese. Only 89p worth for the item I chose but still happy to have that.
I did get a 50% off brisket the other day - but not sure when we'll be having that. Currently it's in the freezer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Aldi are going to sell small, fresh turkeys from Thursday, they should be £9-£13 depending on the size.
I am planning to get a medium chicken for the two of us, I have avoided buying one for a few weeks to make it seem more of a treat. We don’t need any other meats, sausage, bacon, ham or gammon for Christmas dinner.
I have some portions of smoked salmon in the freezer and the hens are laying well, so we are going to have scrambled and smoked salmon with thin toast, after our usual porridge for brunch.2 -
The coop has some offers of beef at £7.50 per kilo. Posting this as coops tend to be local and big supermarkets this time of year are no fun.
Theres also sausage meat, stuffing balls and pigs in blankets at £2.2 -
Iceland (the supermarket) have a half price turkey for £13 from £26. Today only for home delivery.

I am not keen on home delivery and wish they would have these offers for the stores as well.3 -
Tesco has some half price offers in the meat/fish area. Usually requiring a clubcard.
A lot of beef on offer and today when I went in to buy some fish for supper saw that they had sides of salmon for half price. So the full price stuff I might have bought for £8 but the side I bought was for £11 (£11.99 a kilo with the clubcard). I'll cut a couple of portions off for tonight's dinner and then portion up the rest and put it in the freezer. I like salmon and often have it for breakfast when the OH is having kippers or smoked haddock. If I had more space in the freezer I'd buy another side as it soon goes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Also saw a lot of beef on offer in sainsbobs. 21 day matured for £8.00 per kg and a more matured one for just under £10 a kg. Also saw basic gammon for about £4 a kg and then some other fancier ones on nectar price as well. Pork joint too but I didn't check the prices.Grocery challenge:
