Cheapest place to get tyres?

yeah the guy from harry's is now in charles hurst tyres along from the odyssey. they are quite cheap but michael really knows his stuff and is very good (esp for motorbike tyres)

Central Tyres was recently taken over (ok from within the family who owned it) and the service is no longer as good IMHO. I found D&C tyres and exhausts over in the West of the City pretty good last time I needed new tyres - they're on Kennedy Way just as you come off the motorway roundabout.

Magowan Tyres in Mallusk and Carrick are very good - I've used them now for about 8 years for a variety of cars - always impeccable service and good advice.

If you dont fancy heading in to the city, try canavans in lurgan. Up the motorway to the lurgan turn off, first exit on the roundabout and head towards lurgan. Just before railway tracks on the right hand side. Cheap, friendly and good advice.

DH shopped around and found Black circles very competitive (thanks baldeagle09) but following a call to Gilnahirk Tyres today in which they seriously undercut everybody else he's getting 4 new tyres tomorrow. And their price did include fitting, balancing, VAT and disposal of the old tyres

The service in Gilnahirk is second to none. We had a slight issue with one tyre and the owner fixed it right away, offered to reimburse me for any losses and apologised profusely. Customer service is truly measured when an inevitable mistake happens!

And you know it is good value when you see all the taxis there.

When we got tyres there recently we went to the wee cafe along the row of shops. It's good value and the sandwiches were massive. Can recommend that.

another positive for gilnahirk tyres, have used them for as long as ive been driving and other than harrys tyres (now gone) were always the best.
