Is there a template letter/email available, to send to creditors to ask for a 'grace' period when off sick (following an operation) for a few weeks?

You'd normally need to go via a debt advisor, though there's no harm in speaking to your lender directly and seeing if they can help. Do be aware that, if they agree to a payment holiday, this will be recorded on your credit file.Do you not receive sick pay from your employer? You should be entitled to SSP at the very least, most employers will continue to give you full pay for a period.0

SSP is only £116.75 for a full week and you don't get it for the first 3 working days anyway so a 5 day a week worker off for 2 full weeks would get £163.45 total SSP (£46.70 + £116.75). And I'm disappointed to say that in my payroll experience in private sector more companies don't give sick pay over SSP than do.CliveOfIndia said:Do you not receive sick pay from your employer? Just populate one yourself, its not difficult, just explain briefly your circumstances, and how long you expect this situation to last, then put what you want the company to do to help you, don`t ask, don`t get remember, thank them and sign off.Aardvaarkfc17 said:Is there a template letter/email available, to send to creditors to ask for a 'grace' period when off sick (following an operation) for a few weeks?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
