C has officially moved in! :j We packed the last of her stuff in the car last night & gave her room a quick clean.
She's written me a cheque for her half of October bills :) which I paid into my bank yesterday (would have paid it straight onto CC, but they wouldn't allow it as it was written out to me and not MBNA) I have to wait 3-4 days for that to clear, then do an online transfer and wait another 3-4 days for that to clear.

We are off to Blackpool tonight to celebrate our engagement and C's birthday on Saturday. We'll be back on Monday so I'll fill you all in then :D

Ended up spending money on the CC, my brother has been looking for Wii Fit for his GF for Christmas and couldn't find it anywhere, he asked me to keep an eye out. I did a quick google and found one on Littlewoods Direct for £69 (£72.95 with postage) so rang them straight up and paid. Delivery could take up to 12 weeks, which brings us right up to 23rd December! Hopefully it will get here before.
Bro is paying me when I see him in a fortnight.

Back from Blackpool!! Had a fab time :D

The hotel was lovely, and had a view of the tower from the window. On Saturday we had a scrummy fry-up, and went to the Pleasure Beach, sooo much fun even thou it was pouring with rain. We went on every ride (although C didn't go on the 3 biggest ones cos she was scared, I had to go on my own) and got soaked on the logflume. That night we went to Blackpool tower to see the circus, and had fish and chips for tea (very yummy).
We started with another fry-up on Sunday, and then spent the day shopping and strolling along the beach. The weather perked up and was sunny (if a bit chilly)
We took a tram to Ripleys Believe it or not, and the conductor didn't spot us so we got off free :) Sunday night we drove up to Kendal to visit C's brother & family, and took a stroll along the river. We had a roast cooked for us, then we drove up to Windermere to our 2nd hotel.
We had a 3rd () fry-up on Monday, then bought a combination ticket for a boat cruise on the lake and a steam train journey. The weather stayed nice and it was so nice to just sit and enjoy the ride after the last couple of days of rushing around. We had a huge ploughmans before coming home.

Will be posting pics in a little while...watch this space :p

I couldn't weigh myself on Monday as I was away, so did it this morning. I put on 1.3 lbs, which is good concidering all the junk I've been eating all weekend.
It was so nice to get back to the gym today and a diet of salad & fruit. The steam room was heaven after being away from it for so long!

I bought a wireless router today, so we can both be on the internet at the same time. Struggled to install it as I didn't have the cable I needed so gave up. My friend is coming on Thursday with a spare cable so should be up and running then.

  • You never told me you got an engagement pressie from Blackpool (a free trip on the tram :rotfl:). You were so in love with each other the rest of the world was oblivious to the two of you.

Also....lol just realised if I had never got broadband....you would not be wireless now!

Paid some more money off the credit card :) balance now £1327.05 but I do have a payment of £72.95 pending as I have a wii fit on order on behalf of my brother for his gf's xmas pressy. (Delivery date 23/12!!)
I'm going to 'pretend' that they have already taken it out so it won't come as a shock when they do, so have written my balance as £1400 in my sig.

Bought some new size 14 (:D) jeans yesterday in Primark, £6 reduced from £12, and also fancied a pair of cropped combats (also reduced to £6), but they had no size 14's on the rack. I gave up and just took the one pair of jeans to the til and noticed someone had abandoned a pair of size 14 crops in the queue so grabbed them!
Got to the til & lady scanned them in, then mumbled something about reducing and a pound, and called across a colleague. I thought she was reducing them by another pound and was feeling good about getting a £5 bargain, but she reduced them to a £1!!:T
So two pairs of troos for £7 :D
