MSE poll: How much will you spend in total on Christmas this year?

The festive season is the highest spending period of the year for most people. So this week, we want to know – including food, drink, decorations, presents, travel and more – how much are you planning to spend on Christmas this year, and is it more or less than you would typically spend?

I think the poll needs greater granularity, but even then I am not sure how representative it will be. It could certainly do with asking how many children etc. as for many that would be a key factor, but equally connected is income.

This year I will probably spend £800-1,000 because work wise I have had a good year and so can comfortably afford to. I am treating friends and family to days/evenings out and buying the food for Xmas day etc. but probably only spending £60-90 on actual presents which are for niece and nephew.
