Tesco refusing to give refunds when Christmas savings vouchers have been used!!

I was told in Tesco today that as I had used a lot of my Clubcard Christmas savings vouchers on my £85 shop I would not get a refund on two items of clothing I had bought. Except for a very tiny amount, about £3 for £35 worth of clothing. I paid in to the savings scheme, it wasn't free money!

I would have thought they would have given you a gift card? I won't be doing it again as I have lots of £19 or £16.50 vouchers and that is no good to me as they have to be used in full. For the biggest supermarket, I feel they have the worst Christmas scheme. Too inflexible.1

If you purchased in store you have no right to a refund for a change of mind regardless of how you paid, it is totally at the discretion of the store.0

You do a right to return if the T&Cs of that store allows returns when buying as that forms part of the contract.Keep_pedalling said:If you purchased in store you have no right to a refund for a change of mind regardless of how you paid, it is totally at the discretion of the store.

Yes, they do promise a refund if it is within 30days, but it was made clear to me that had I paid by any other method I COULD have had a refund in full. The customer service person was very sympathetic and said I should complain about this new rule. Why were we never told about this? I will be complaining to Tesco tomorrow.0

Have you any T&Cs about the Christmas vouchers, as having a quick look on-line couldn't see any.rosebud666 said:Yes, they do promise a refund if it is within 30days, but it was made clear to me that had I paid by any other method I COULD have had a refund in full. Just to add. You cannot try on clothing in Purley Extra Tesco so there must be a lot of returns.0
