Hello all,

I am trying to find out if I can get a peugeot car key (one of those with the remote lock) cut anywhere but Peugeot (I have the key code). Peugeot charge a ludicrous £50!!!

Thanks.

You could but this would not start the car. The key contains a transponder which de-enables the imobilizer (I think).

I think £50 isn't too bad as I got a quote for £70 when i asked for some 306 ones. Fortunately I had the two keys already and the rubber buttons had just perished so I ordered some new key fob shells ~ £4 each from Peugeot. They weren't quite right but it did allow me to change the tops.
