We're adding a little bit of sparkle and whole lot of Christmas spirit this festive season with our Big Christmas Competition.

Thanks to Caledonian Sleeper's generous partners, we have a whole sack full of cracking Christmas prizes up for grabs from trips to the highlands to rare Caledonian Sleeper goodies!

1. The Promoter

The prize draw promoter is Caledonian Sleeper Limited a company incorporated and registered in Scotland with company number SC328825 whose registered office is Basement And Ground Floor Premises, 1-5 Union Street, Inverness, Scotland, IV1 1PP (“Caledonian Sleeper”)

2. The Prize Draw

2.1. The title of the prize draw is “The Big Christmas Competition".

2.2. Entry into the prize draw can be completed through its prize draw form at https://www.sleeper.scot/the-big-christmas-competition 

2.3. Prizes are:

2. Grand Star Prize 2. Return Trip from London to Orkney

•    A return trip for 2 passengers from Aberdeen to Orkney with NorthLink Ferries. The winner will be issued with a code to redeem the prize which will entitle the winner to one free return trip to Orkney with NorthLink Ferries for 2 passengers with a standard cabin on overnight routes. The trip must be used by 31 December 2026 and is subject to availability, non-transferable or refundable and no cash alternative will be offered. Upgrades are available upon request.
•    Two-night stay including breakfast at the Kirkwall Hotel in Orkney for 2 people. This competition prize is for two people sharing one double or twin classic room on a bed and breakfast basis for two nights. Only valid for stays between January to March 2025, October to December 2025. Prize must be taken by 23rd December 2025.  Free cancellation/modification 72 hours prior to check-in time (15:00). Prize will be forfeited in the event of late cancellation/modification, no-show and early departure.  This prize is offered subject to availability. Any additional costs incurred will be charged separately and added to your room account, which must be settled before departure from the hotel.  The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.  Breakfast is based on a choice of dishes from our standard breakfast menu per person.

3. Moxy Hotels: Overnight stay in Moxy London, Glasgow or Edinburgh, including breakfast for two people. Valid until 31 March 2025.  No cash alternative, subject to availability, must be pre-booked via marketing.uk@hotelco51.com, competition winner must be the named guest staying, and ID will be required on check-in.  Prize is not transferable.

4. Ambassador Theatre Group:   1 x Ambassador Theatre Group ATG+ annual membership. There will be one-winner who will win a 12-month ATG+ membership worth £60. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash or prize alternative available. Employees of ATG Entertainment are not permitted to enter. A redemption code will be issued to the winner by ATG this can then redeemed on the ATG website for the one-year membership for free.

5. Edinburgh Castle: 1 x family ticket for the Castle of Light Show to be booked by midday on Friday 20 December 2024 to be used on or before 4 January 2025.

10. Caledonian Sleeper: 1 x Limited-Edition Caledonian Sleeper Gin Miniature 5cl. You must be over 18 years old to win this prize. Proof of age will be required.

11. Arbikie Distillery: 1 x Arbikie Gin and Vodka Distillery Tour for 2 people. Valid for tours up to and including the 18 July 2025 must be booked by 18 June 2025.

12. Tomatin: 1 x 70cl Bottle of Tomatin 12-year-old Single Malt Whisky. You must be over 18 years old to win this prize. Proof of age will be required.

 

3. How to Enter

3.1. The prize draw will run from 12.01am GMT on 04 December 2024 to 11.59pm GMT on 15 December 2024 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.

3.2. All prize draw entries must be received by Caledonian Sleeper by no later than 11.59pm GMT on the Closing Date. All prize draw entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.

3.3. To enter the prize draw fill out the form, providing your Full Name and email address, postcode and answer the multiple choice christmas question, at https://www.sleeper.scot/the-big-christmas-competition

  
3.4. There is no entry fee for entering the prize draw.

3.5. Caledonian Sleeper will not accept responsibility for prize draw entries not received.

3.6. By submitting a prize draw entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. For help with entries, please contact media@caledoniansleeper.scot  

3.7. The winner of the prize draw will be selected at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Caledonian Sleeper. The decision of Caledonian Sleeper regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

3.8.  All prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash or prize alternative available. 

4. Eligibility

4.1. The prize draw is open to everyone aged 18 years or over, except:

4.1.1. Employees of Caledonian Sleeper; 

4.1.2. Employees of agents or suppliers of Caledonian Sleeper, who are professionally connected with the prize draw or its administration; or 
4.1.3. Members of the immediate families or households of (4.1.1) and (4.1.2) above. 

4.2. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Caledonian Sleeper may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw. 

4.3. There is a limit of one entry per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified. 

4.4. Caledonian Sleeper reserves the right to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize draw. 

5. Winner

5.1. The decision of Caledonian Sleeper is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

5.2. Caledonian Sleeper will contact the winner personally by 5pm GMT on 16 December 2024 using the email address provided with the prize draw entry.

5.3. Caledonian Sleeper must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Caledonian Sleeper will make available the winner’s name if requested, by emailing media@caledoniansleeper.scot. If you object to your name being published or made available, please contact Caledonian Sleeper at media@caledoniansleeper.scot. In such circumstances, Caledonian Sleeper must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

5.4. The prize draw winner’s name will be available 28 days after the Closing Date by emailing media@caledoniansleeper.scot

6. Prizes

6.1. Caledonian Sleeper will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize by 19 December 2024, Caledonian Sleeper reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received before the Closing Date.

6.2.  The prizes which include the return journey onboard the Caledonian Sleeper must be booked no later than 1 September 2025 for travel on or before 31 December 2025. Blackout dates for travel include 7 – 21 April, July 2025 and August 2025 and 13 – 31 October 2025

6.3. Caledonian Sleeper does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the Prize.

Caledonian Sleeper reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Caledonian Sleeper’s control make it necessary to do so.

6.5. The Prize is not negotiable or transferable and there is no cash alternative available. 

6.6. Caledonian Sleeper does not accept any responsibility for inaccurate prize details being supplied by the Supplier or any other third party connected with the prize draw.

7. Limitation of Liability and Force Majeure 

7.1. Insofar as is permitted by law, Caledonian Sleeper will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Caledonian Sleeper.

7.2. Caledonian Sleeper shall not be in breach of these terms and conditions nor liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under these terms and conditions if such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation, acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake (or other natural disaster), epidemic or pandemic, fire, strike or any law or action taken by a government of public authority.

8. Data Protection

Caledonian Sleeper will only process your personal information as set out in the privacy notice - https://www.sleeper.scot/privacy-policy/ See also Clause 5.3, with regard to the announcement of the winner. 

9. General

9.1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Caledonian Sleeper may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.

9.2. Caledonian Sleeper reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

9.3. The prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network. You are providing your information to Caledonian Sleeper and if selected, a partner organisation.

9.4. These terms and conditions shall be governed by Scots law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
