Council Tax band challenge - Delays in Response

I requested to a Council Tax band challenge and after submitting the evidence (i.e. 5 similar properties to mine or neighboring roads) back in July 2024 and I'm still waiting on a decision due to a back log. I have had several emails to that effect and now they have advised they will contact me once an officer is assigned to my case. Anyone else experience this delay with Council Tax band challenge?

Hello!

I came on here to see how long people are waiting for a response.  I applied in March 2024 but I haven't heard anything yet.  I did get an acknowledgement email so I know I sent the application but so far nothing.  I am guessing they have been inundated with people wanting to be rebanded.

9 months is a long time, but there is nothing you can practically do to expedite it

Guys - Good News.
Requested Band Challenge from F to E in April 2024
Made a Formal Compliant to VOA ("complaints@voa.gov.uk") in January 2025 after many requests to have my Band Challenge looked at by VOA but got "Fobbed" off.
Complaints department wrote back to say I will hear by May 2025.
Received £6500 in back dated wrong banding going back to 1999.
Solution : Keep trying, keep email trail and then complain to VOA.
