TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “KISS FM x Costa Coffee x KISSTORY – Building An Emotional Connection (the “Competition”)

 These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

1.ENTRY PLATFORMS AND COSTS Online Competition:

 Entries are restricted to one entry per person.

2. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN There will be 5 winners of the competition. 4 x Monday – Thursday winners who will win the same prize and 1 x Friday prize winner who will win a prize (see section 5 The Prize for details). 

We will be selecting the winner from a pool of entrants on the entry page. All entries will be judged based on the clarity, detail, and depth of information they provide about the person they wish to be reunited with. This includes providing insights into the relationship, why the reunion is important, and any specific circumstances that make the connection meaningful. The judges will also consider the sincerity of the submission, focusing on how well the entrant conveys the significance of reuniting with this person and the impact it would have on their life.

Conditions for Monday – Thursday Prize:

The winner of this prize will be selected from entrants who enter the competition from 00:0 on 02/12/2024 until 23:59 11/12/2024.

Shortlisting for Monday – Thursday Prize: 

By entering this competition, you acknowledge that if you are shortlisted for the Monday – Thursday prize, you are willing to appear live on KISS radio between the hours of 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM on one of the following dates: Monday 9th December, Tuesday 10th December, Wednesday 11th December, or Thursday 12th December.

Availability: If shortlisted as Monday – Thursday prize, you must confirm your availability for the specified timeslot within the given dates. If you are unable to attend the scheduled time, an alternative winner may be selected.

Online Submission Consistency: Entrants must deliver their entry in the same manner as their online submission. The content of your submission must be consistent with what was shared during the competition entry process.

Media Rights: By accepting the Monday – Thursday prize, you consent to your appearance on-air being recorded and broadcasted live on KISS radio. You also grant KISS radio the right to use your name, likeness, and voice for promotional purposes related to the competition. 

Prizes and Conditions: The Monday – Thursday prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative prizes. Entrants must comply with all terms and conditions outlined in the competition rules to be eligible for the ‘runner-up’ prize.

Competition Terms and Conditions for Friday Prize Winner:

Friday Prize Winner Requirements: 

The winner of this prize will be selected from entrants who enter the competition from 00:00 on 02/12/2024 until 23:59 08/12/2024. 

By entering this competition, you acknowledge that if you are selected as the Friday prize winner, you and your chosen family member or friend (whom you wish to be reunited with) are willing to participate in a recording and filming session with the KISS social media team on the 13th of December 2024 in London. The recording session will take place between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM. You and your chosen family member or friend will also be required to pre-record an audio clip with KISS presenters Jordan and Perri which will be broadcast between 7:00 – 11:00 on Friday 13th December. The timings you will be requested to record this clip will be discussed post selection of the winner. 

1. Location Details: Further information regarding the specific location, in London, of the recording session will be provided to the selected winner by the KISS project management team upon confirmation of selection.

2. Pre-Production Meeting: As a condition of being selected, all entrants must agree to attend a pre-production meeting via Zoom or Microsoft Teams prior to the recording. The meeting is a mandatory part of the process for selecting the main prize winner.

3. Availability: The winner and their chosen family member or friend must confirm their availability to attend the recording session on the specified date and time. If either the winner or the chosen individual is unavailable on the 13th of December, an alternative winner may be selected.

4. Media Consent: By accepting the main prize, you and your chosen family member or friend agree to be recorded by the KISS social media team, and understand that the resulting footage may be used across KISS radio and Costa's social media channels, websites, and other promotional materials. You further consent to the use of your names, voices, and likenesses in these materials.

5. Prize Conditions: The main prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of compensation. Failure to comply with the terms outlined above may result in disqualification from the competition.

3. DATES Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:

From Monday 2nd December 2024 at 00:01 (the “Start Time”) to Wednesday 11th December 2024 at 23:59 (“End Time”).

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

Winner Announcement: The winner’s first name and hometown are available on request by emailing win@bauermedia.co.uk 

However, if the winner cannot be contacted within 2 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms. 

 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS Open to UK residents aged [18] years or over on date of entry.

Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded. · Prize Packages for two (2) people are for two (2) adults, old, all of whom must travel at the same time with the same itinerary;  

· At least 1 person travelling must be over the age of 18; where any travellers are aged under 18, they must have prior parental or guardian permission; 

· Both the winner and their nominated friend will receive £250 per person only, which can be spent on petrol/parking or travel by public transport; any costs over this amount of £250 per person will need to be covered by the winner and guest; All cash allowances will be sent via bank transfer to the winner and guest’s nominated bank account, recipient of funds must be aged 18 years or older; Accommodation is based on two (2) adults sharing one (1) double occupancy room, in the winner’s chosen location; Winners will be provided with a selection of accommodation options at the prize provider’s discretion and accommodation selection will vary dependent on location; 

· A valid credit or debit card for incidentals may be required to guarantee your room on check in and therefore at least one of the travellers must possess and travel with a valid credit or debit card; 

· The prize excludes meals and drinks, hotel incidentals, excursions, attractions, treatments, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the above inclusions;

This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

3.   MISCELLANEOUS.

● Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.

● Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

● We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

● You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.

● We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.

● Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
