ILR without a valid passport

Hello, my partner and I put down an offer on a house as a first buyer and got accepted for it a week or so ago. My partner is born and bred British, I am a foreigner on Indefinite leave to remain, which is a permanent settled status. The mortgage adviser we are talking to is unsure if it will be accepted by the lenders, as she thinks if you're on a visa you need a valid passport but ILR is not a visa.
I have a biometric card and blue disabled drivers badge as photo ID's. My passport is expired, I have tried to renew it a couple time but it is such a big faff. I haven't been to my home country in over 20 years. And to renew passport you need an ID card which I've tried and it got list in transit. I was fed up of them and thought biometric residence would be OK because it's an official photo ID given to me BY the government.
So how !!!!!! are we?

If you have a biometric card, you should be fine.
I am not sure if you also have to get a share code.
Its not really my bag, but the few that we have done I am sure biometric card is on the list of acceptable documents.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hi OP, are you aware that BRPs are all expiring and will no longer be proof of right to live in the UK from 1 January 2025?
You need to register for an eVisa, if you haven't already. https://www.gov.uk/get-access-evisa0 -
We are going through mortgage broker and I don't think they've dealt with a case like this. I did look it up and biometric was in the list of acceptable documents but now she's being a bit weird about it, and we are worried we might lose this house.
I have an evisa and I have given them my share code as well.0 -
Ask the broker if they can do it or not.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
