Hi all,
Octopus have finally got round to transferring ownership of my solar panels following a house purchase to me and have sent me an agreement to sign with rates and such like on the documentation.
Just looking to do a sense check that what they have put in the agreement feels right?
The system was installed in 11/13, is setup as a Deemed Export payment type with unit rates of Generation (22.86 p/kWh), and Export (7.14 p/kWh).
Thanks

Hiya. Looking at this chart the numbers are correct. The export rate is in the first table, and you need to select Apr 2013 to Mch 2014 for the FiT rate.
Scroll down to your install date/period, and you'll see retrofit sub 4kWp, high rate, as 22.86p/kWh.
I'm assuming your system is less than 4kWp, as most would have been at that time, plus the numbers match.
Have fun spending that FiT income on green and ethical 'stuff', for the next 9yrs.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.0 -
Thanks for that info!0

@ASA201, if you export more than 25% of what you generate and have a smart meter then you might be better off switching to metered export rather than deemed export. As an Octopus customer for supply, you could get 15p per kWh for what you actually do export.Reed1
