I've used emery boardscut to a suitable size for sanding down awkward spaces/angles.

Just remembered another one I did when one of my grandsons was smaller than the 6'2" he is now . He had outgrown a pair of jeans (he was the youngest of my DDs 4 sons ) so no one to pass them on to.
I cut both the legs off and made a bag for me, and one for my DD. I turned them inside out and sewed the bottoms up then at the top of them I turned a bit about an inch down and sewed that round to leaving a small gap which I threaded through an old trainer lace, (I never throw anything as useful as trainer laces out when the shoes were outgrown, handy for conker stings when the boys were younger as well )
It made a pull tight closing thread handle. I turned them back to the right side, and had two long thin bags which I used to store left over Christmas wrapping paper The trainer lace was knotted at the end so it made a neat handle to hang on a hook either at the back of the wardrobe or on the door handle of the inside of the spare room. Great especially if you nab some reduced price wrapping paper after Christmas for the following year, you can usually get around 5-6 rolls into each Jeans-leg bag
