Freeing up credit

Historically i did balance tfrs and all my debt was on 0%. Things have got in a mess and they are now all standard rate costing around £400 in interest. If i could just clear one to free up credit i could get back on track but i can't see how to do this. Can anyone advise.
I was considering asking for freeze on interest but im worried about the effect on my credit score.

Well you can ignore your meaningless score, but getting the interest frozen (if the lender agreed to it) would have a big impact on your credit history. If you're unable to obtain any more 0% Balance Transfer cards, your best bet is to tackle the debt the old-fashioned way. Complete an SOA ( https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.php ), select the "Format for MSE" option and copy & paste the results here. We can then get an accurate picture of your situation and offer some impartial advice as to the next steps.

Now things are "in a mess" so to speak, you might either want to choose to maintain your fictitious credit score and struggle along paying high rate interest, or forget about credit scores for a while, and take the more sensible approach of debt management and rid yourself of the debt.
