London cheesecake so-named because of the look of the sugared strands of coconut on top, which tbf does look a little like grated cheese.
I saw one in a bakery window this summer and couldn't resist buying it. It was dry and hard as a rock, a most disappointing experience.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

London cheesecake is my elderly dad's favourite cake. I might try and make them using the recipe link.
just like London1 I loved the cupcakes that came in the silver foil with the thick layer of chocolate and yes the bits of chocolate trapped in the pleats of the cake case were well worth the effort!0 -
I used to work in Towcester back in the 1970s and the baker there sold cheesecakes which were a deep jam tart filled with fruit cake/bread pudding type of mixture. Very nice for a lunchtime treat.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget1
