Jacob's Bus Lane Fine

Hi guys,
I know this would be better on the Peripoo site, but it doesn't seem to be functioning any longer
Hoping to get some help as I've received a letter from Jacb's that has got me worried. So I moved out of my old flat around a year ago, changed my details with the DVLA, but for some reason correspondence were still going to my previous address when I went into a bus lane.
Obviously I knew nothing of this, until I had to go to my old address for a package, and I was handed letters about the incident. I then lodged an appeal with the TEC and thought this would be the last of the debt collectors' threats, but for some reason the TEC rejected my appeal and Jacob' are now sending me letters (to my new address)...
My question is, with this being council-related and the TEC rejecting my appeal, should I just pay the fine or is it in some way still contestable? The letter mentions escalating costs, which is obviously to instill fear, but this has worked as I really can;t afford to pay more than the £170 they're demanding.
If I do pay the fine, I'll be asking to pay in installments - is there a minimum I should offer or is this done on a case-by-case basis? Times are hard so I could do with paying it in as small payments as possible!
Any advice will be much appreciated...

Try this: -Since we concentrate on parking charge notices from unregulated private parking companies, you would be better off taking this over to our friends on https://ftla.uk (the recently started forum to replace/supplement Pepipoo), as they are the experts on council and police issues. You will need register before reading the FAQs, then posting both sides of your PCN with your query.PrivateCouncilPolice2

thanks for that... Seems like quite a long and time-consuming process, though, and I'm not sure I have much time before they whack additional charges on top.Le_Kirk said:Try this: -Since we concentrate on parking charge notices from unregulated private parking companies, you would be better off taking this over to our friends on https://ftla.uk (the recently started forum to replace/supplement Pepipoo), as they are the experts on council and police issues. You will need register before reading the FAQs, then posting both sides of your PCN with your query.PrivateCouncilPolice
Would anyone be able to just give me some general info/advice as to whether I'd have any success after a TEC appeal has been unsuccessful?0 -
Did you change the address for both driving licence and the car’s V5C?1

yes, I belieeve so... but the appeal was rejected anyway.. No idea why as they don;t give reasons for their decisions which is annoying...Keep_pedalling said:Did you change the address for both driving licence and the car’s V5C?0 -
you need to be certain, otherwise you could find yourself in a lot of bother if you fail to respond to NIP from any motoring offence you might commit.evasivedavid said:
