Transferring into NHS 2015 pension scheme

Hello,
I need advice.
I have approx 18k in a scottish widows pension pot and I'm wanting advice as to if i should transfer into NHS pensions or not.
I started with NHS in may 2024, I am 30 years old and on a salary of 32k.
What benefits are there to transferring in? What benefits are there to not transferring in?

First thing to do is to ask for an estimate of how much NHS pension this £18K will buy you, then consider.
But don't dawdle - there's a 12 month time limit on transfers in.0 -

There is rarely a nice simple 'right' answer when it comes to transfers!Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0
