Mortgage Charter - Interest Only - did it affect a new mortgage offer?

I know mortgage lenders are insisting that if you use the Mortgage Charter, nothing negative is shown on your credit report - I wondered, if in practice, this is true also? Our current mortgage deal expires in about 12 months, I'm concerned that my existing lender will be reluctant to offer me a mortgage deal, or if any new lender will do so too? Can anyone let me know their experience of remortgaging after using the options of interest only/extended mortgage via the charter?
Or if there are any mortgage brokers/advisers that can confirm too?
Thanks!

I don't know about it now, but I know that while it didn't affect your credit file, during COVID loads of lenders were refusing applications where the borrower took payment holiday.
It might be similar now as it screams affordability problems.
You should be able to product transfer with your current lender though assuming you have no arrears.1 -
A mortgage holiday is a factual event and will be reported as such. Your credit report will show the mortgage balance owing for the period remaining unchanged. How it will be viewed by another financial institution is a matter of internal policy. You existing lender won't decline to offer you a new product. The mortgage contractually lasts the duration agreed at the outset.1
