Pocket repair

Unsure if this is the correct place but imagine there are helpful knowledgeable people who might give some suggestions how this can be repaired, it's from a jeans front pocket and I don't want to make the pocket depth shorter.  Worn through by my phone I think. I can do rudimentary sewing, nothing fancy. Thanks.
Hopefully I can post a photo.

Just sew a patch of material over that area. Sewing doesn't have to be fancy.

Patch on the back then stitch round the hole on the inside to stop it getting caught

Not done it for years but I’m sure you can still buy replacement trouser pockets.  Might even be iron on ones nowadays.

Would using the iron on tape for hemming  to attach a patch  be any good?

I was forever repairing jeans pockets when my first husband kept change in there and his lighter. I used to cut off the hole part and sew a new piece of fabric - usually old sheeting onto it.. Take a suitable size rectangle of fabric and stitch the short sides together. the tricky bit is attaching the new pocket bit to the exisiting part. Then tuck in the bottom edges and run a double row of stitching across.

Lots of good ideas thanks.  Replacement pockets, who'd have thunk it but yes they exist.  And that would give me an opportunity to deepen the pocket which would be a bonus.  fyi the iron on ones get poor reviews generally.  Will think on all options and probably go for the easiest lol.
    Cheers
