Cognitive Issues

Hello, I have a buy to let which has a fixed term ending at the end of this month {Nov} I have cognitive issues, I have absolutely no idea were to start to find what I need to do. I used to have a partner that did all this for me, he is no longer. How to I get independent advice to find out what I need to do ?

If you need a new mortgage deal then one option is to find a mortgage advisor. They will help you find the best deal for you and help get all the necessary paperwork done. They charge for this service of course, though if you’re not confident managing it yourself this may be your best option.

Find a decent mortgage advisor. They usually don't charge for advice and if they are nearby will come out to see you, just charge for actually setting up the new mortgage, but they will get you the best deal they can. Explain that you have difficulties and ask everything to be put in simple terms and in writing. Honestly, it's not that simple even if you are  completely 'with it' for finances, I struggle to follow my mortgage advisor sometimes because he has so many options!

Mortgage brokers now have to look out for vulnerabilities. Part of our process is to ask if there are any and if so, how we can help to make the process better for the customer. Its more common practice now.

I think it would be a good idea to get a mortgage broker but I sort of disagree with Flora in that I would not necessairliy prioritise fee free. If you want someone to spend more time with you, then chances are it will cost.
