Fellow Forumites,
Good afternoon, I need your advise.
Got to know just last week that the massive discount given to Council tenants will go later this month.
The initial plan is to save and buy next year ending but the recent change on the part of the government came too sudden.
Can someone help if there is STILL lenders who give mortgages with no deposit?
Thanks a lot for your help

Speak to a broker, I bought with Natwest but that was 8 years ago. Barclays wanted a £10k deposit.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Put in the application ASAP before the 21st November deadline.
I bought mine in 2015 and no deposit was required. This was Natwest. I had the deposit but when i found out my discount can be used it for renovation and other things instead.
Check with a broker but not all require deposit.
I am surprised they are cancelling the generous discount so quickly.
I bought my 1 bedroom for £65k and got 65k discount but guess to help with supply they have made those changes. Going forward would have only gotten £16k discount.1 -
I did put it in before deadline. Thanks0
