    No. It's hardly ever a good idea to turn unsecured debt in secured debt.

    Better to move the CCs to 0% balance transfer cards and pay down as quickly as possible

    If you're paying it off at completion of the new purchase, leave it alone. Most lenders will ignore it if being repaid from residual equity.
