    Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I'm not sure about the transaction dates.

I will take your advice and go back to them with an offer of £150 for full and final payment.👍

what makes you think the paperwork is legitimate? at that age the agreement has to be the ORIGINAL document not a copy or reconstituted one.

The case of Carey v HSBC Bank plc (2009) decided otherwise.

Well it is a photo copy not the original document. It is signed by me and dated 1998. They have also included a copy of the terms and conditions agreement, also a photo copy.🤔

Good luck. It took me a long time to realise it but it's really just a poker game from here. Take your time in negotiations, prepare well and tell a story that backs up your offer and shows how it's really the most you can afford.   Above all stay in control - be prepared to delay and/or walk away if the settlement isn't to your liking. Understand the game from their side and their tactics and aims too.

Have you checked when the card was last used or the account paid towards. It could easily be statute barred.

    Thanks for your advice tigergambit,
you are correct I was paying token payments until November last year before I took this forums great advice and submitted the cca requests.

As I said, luckily this is my smallest debt £879 so I will offer a low final payment and see how it goes!

None of my other creditors have managed to come back with the requested cca's as yet so I'm still considering myself very lucky.🤞

my understanding and this was from legal advise is that any pre 2008 agreements still require original documentation... this case set a precedent for ones after this.
