I am with Octopus and have solar panels and battery storage ......we are on the variable tariff at the moment but want to be able in the Winter to fill our battery with off peak electricity. Looking at their tariffs and cannot make any sense out of them its overly complicated. We are retired and in most of the day. Can anyone suggest what would the best tariff there are so many it is really confusing what the best option would be for us, would be grateful for any advice please
Thank you

If you also have an EV, Intelligent Go or Go are excellent in the winter months.
If no EV then Agile Incoming and Outgoing Fixed 15p appear to be the most lucrative.- 10 x 400w LG + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial Panels + SE 3680 HD Wave Inverter + SE Optimizers. SE London.
- Triple aspect. (22% ENE/ 33% SSE/ 45% WSW)
- Viessmann 200-W on Advanced Weather Comp. (the most efficient gas boiler sold)Feel free to DM me if I can help with any energy saving!1 -
If you want a simple tariff and you have a sufficiently large battery that it lasts through the evening in the middle of winter, then Octopus Flux will allow you to charge during a fixed period from 2 until 5 in the morning. This may not give you the best rates all year round, but it is a tariff where you don't have to worry about the weather or what rates are being set for the next day.6.4kWp (16 * 400Wp REC Alpha) facing ESE + 5kW Huawei inverter + 10kWh Huawei battery. Eon is now offering a tarrif with battery storage for 6.7p import for 7 hours and 16.5p export, this would be the most profitable tarriff imoWest central Scotland
