Comparing Council Tax Band with Neighbours

Hi ,
we live in a semi detached home.
in 1991 the 2 semis would have been identical .
however, both have since been redeveloped but with ours to a greater extent than the neighbouring semi.
my question is when looking to compare tax bands, do we look at the comparative values in 1991 or now ?
Any thoughts?

Improvements do not result in CT re-banding until the house is sold.
So you could be re-banded higher than next door with a smaller extension but as they haven't moved they stay on the lower band.
So be more precise on what you are asking and why, and include when you bought and others were sold.0 -
to be precise, we bought in 2015 post improvements and neighbours around 2019 also post improvements. They will have had the same value in 1991 but not now0

Even if the houses are no longer identical they could still be correctly in the same bandIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
