Council tax banding

Hi, I have a problem with banding. I live in a street with 2 bedroom flats, 2 bedroom houses and 3 bedroom houses. We are all in the same banding B which I know is incorrect as I've done all the checks and I should be in A as live in a flat. How do I challenge this when all properties in my street and the estate are all in band B?

If all the other flats are in band B, what makes you think that yours should be in band A?

Hi Elsien, I dud the valuation check up  1991 and it's in band A, also the estate has a mixture of flats and 2 and 3 bedroom houses which all cant be band B.
Has anyone else cone across this?

What is "the valuation check up 1991"? If you mean MSE, Nationwide, Halifax, Rightmove or Zoopla house price indices/calculators, then these are not accurate and would not be accepted by the VOA as evidence to support a lower band.

Because of the band width it is possible to have all 3 dwelling types in the same band. It is also possible the 3 bed houses are in too low a band.

Look around the wider area for 2 bed flats in Band A.
