Changing bank account.
I know it makes sense but just can't go through with it. I'm with RBS and even pay £12 for a special rip-off Royalties Gold account.
But...
1. The staff have always been great and so nice I just feel disloyal.
2. I'm scared they'll muck up my Barclaycard standing order!

I sooooo agree with you. I have been with LLoyds TSB for about 10 years now and i cannot fault them in all that time. Most of the staff know me by name and there is nothing that it too much trouble. Ok its a bit of a queue on a Saturday, but thats my own fault for picking a time when its the busiest. I have had online bank accounts and got lost in a sea of passwords and security questions.
Give me a enquiry desk and a face behind it, rather than an automated reception on the telephone any day.
Theres a lot to be said for customer service these days. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I know exactly what you mean, i am also with RBS with the same Royalities gold account, and the staff are great but i have been with them since it went from Williams and Glynn so i know that to move would break my heart however , how do you move and still get great service that you are happy with.
Many thanks0 -
I changed to Nationwide because Alliance and Leicester closed their branch in my town.
Nationwide made such a mess of the changeover that it took 6 months to sort out my direct debits.
The staff are so nice and helpful in my local branch, that when they see me they offer me coffee, I think they are afraid that I will explode, again!!
Sometimes its worth the loss of a few pounds to be able to comunicate with a human being, and not spend hours on the phone.0
