Council Tax Banding

Hi, I’ve tried twice to challenge my band and failed, I’m confused, if I use the 1991 calculator I’m band D which is the current band, however, if I use the sale price calculator for May 2022 when I bought the property it’s a C which is what I think it should be, can anyone help me with this please?

On what grounds has it been rejected, and have you compared to other similar houses in your street?

I'm not sure which 'price calculators' you are using but my understanding is that for a successful you really need to be providing evidence of specific comparable properties close by that are in a lower band than yours

Why do you think it should be Band C, other than the 2022 price calculator estimate?
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

I just filled the form in to challenge the band and sent it to the council by e mail.....they reassessed and dropped me a band and sent a nice lump sum to me......believe it was about £5k....took about 6 weeks start to finish.

Not sure how that helps the OP any, given that they say they’ve already been turned down twice?

The council doesn't deal with CT banding, either VOA (Eng & Wales) Assessor (Scot)
