Freebies - why don't they arrive?

Options
Hello,

does anyone else have the same problem as me?

I have applied for loads of free samples and trial sizes etc from links on this site, and not a single one of them has turned up.

Can anyone shed any light on this please? What am I doing wrong?

thanks!

Might be the time of year! I get most of mine
  • I have doubt on my postman.
I order 2 freebies from same company / site one at workplace and another at home. I get stuff @ work but not at home. While work is a commercial (non residence address)
Ofcourse I did for trial and can't keep ordering things to workplace. but this shows something wrong with my post. I can't complaint as I have no concrete proof.

A lot of sites offer phoney freebies and "harvest" your details; email addresses are particularly sought after for some reason, it's one reason you should always use a disposable email address.

Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.

Most of the freebies I have ordered using links on this site have arrived but some take months and months before they put in an appearance. The Nescafe mug that I asked for in October arrived in December so these things do take time. Sometimes though I have blagged stuff by contacting the company directly saying that I would like to try before I buy - as a result I got a load of free samples from Simple.

some companies are only after email addresses and only send out a small amount of samples..
i find that out of 10 i may receive 2 samples..
so tbh i dont bother now unless its a good one!!

I get most of the freebies I apply for but I'm quite picky on who I give my address to.
Some sites only want your details so beware of that.
Other sites can be misleading in that it's a competition.
One of the make-up sites (can't remeber whether it's maybelline, revlon or Max factor) frequently offer giveaway of say 10 mascaras.
Your chances of winning one of 10 are very small, so I would say be quite choosy about what you apply for, lots are just after your details.
  • I get most of my freebies also and got some from France as well though cannot remember name of company.
My postman is now on first name terms with me  decent honest bloke.
Though when he was on hols said to my OH look no freebies so does make you wonder.

You're probably not doing anything wrong !

Some reputed freebies posted here are nothing but :spam: , so you have to be very careful what you sign up for.
Some are limited time offers and may have expired without anyones knowledge.
Some are limited to a certain number of customers. Many sites won't tell you when that limit has been met.
Some get 'lost' (pinched) in the post.

I don't apply for all the freebies on here, but those I do I'd say I receive about 75% of them which isn't too bad.

Remember to never use your main e-mail address for freebies. Use another specifically for freebies just incase you to start to receive :spam: !
