CCA'a for accounts less than 3 years old

Hi all, would anybody bother requesting CCA's for accounts that are less than 3 years old and have now gone to a DCA in the last month. I have some 14 + years old that can't produce CCA's, however I imagine that accounts that are less than 3 years old would be able to produce them? TIA

You would think they should be able to, but you won't know till you try.
Can't see any downside, and you are used to the process now0 -
Who is the lender, has it been passed to a DCA or sold to a DCA, and are you making any payment?0

Chances are they may be online CCAs which they might be able to magic up. Doesn't mean you shouldn't ask though. Make sure when you get anything that the details are correct for the time you signed up - date, name, address. Some companies apparently have used current names and addresses for people who may have moved, married, divorced, etc.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. You would be amazed how incompetent some creditors can be when it comes to paperwork, even digital copies get lost or mis-placed, keep in mind we are talking hundreds of thousands of both paper and digital copies that must be stored away, and they are effectively on a conveyer belt as new accounts are registered all the time.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks, the lenders are Fluid who have Wescot who are working on behalf of Cabot Financial Europe - NewDay. Fluid come under the New Day name, so I am not sure if that means Cabot are also under New Day or that they're working with Cabot and New Day.
The others are Halifax and Virgin, they have just defaulted so I am expecting DCA contact soon.
They would have all been online, I imagine.
That's interesting about checking addresses and names etc. I have moved and been married, however these would be in current but it's interesting for a couple of older accounts.
I have an irresponsible lending claim with Barclaycard at the moment via the FCA and they wrote back with their final response letter which I never received. Thing was, they used a very old address and they dated for March and explained in the letter again that they wrote to me in March. I have the email which I used to send my complaint which I got off Debt Camel and I sent two complaints in June and August and never got a final response, so went to the FCA. I couldn't believe when their letter was dated March so clearly they have just knocked it up when they received communication from the FCA. The FCA asked me did I want to continue with my claim, which of course I pointed out that clearly they had lied about their final response or they have some very incompetent people working there!0 -
Think you are referring to the FOS, not FCA.
Cabot is a debt purchasing company, nothing to do with any other company, they will now own your debt and will have engaged Wescott to manage it on their behalf.
Fluid are one of many trading names of Newday, who will have sold it to them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Sorry, yes the FOS 😂
OK, it's just the way the letter is written as previously Fluid seemed to have a in house debt collection company managing it but it came under their umbrella.
Can I ask why Cabot don't manage it themselves and get Wescott to manage it? Do they manage any accounts themselves?0 -
All the major debt purchasing people who buy up debts in bulk, can choose to either chase the debts they buy themselves, or transfer them to one of there satellite companies for them to chase, or assign the debt to a 3rd party collector instead, or any combination of the above.
Its not uncommon for one company to buy it, another to manage it, but then that management company can outsource it to another 3rd party collector.
There will be many commercial reasons for these actions, I have no idea why they do things this way.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
