Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Not a bad morning although still dark, rain is expected so it probably won't get properly light today. We could do with a bit of sunshine!
Parent's afternoon/evening today so I'll be at work until late manning the book fair - it's quite a good deal for us as they give us the commission in books.
Hope everyone is well and you all have a good Wednesday. Take care. XX12 -

Good morning, it's a bit dreary and damp here, don't think it's cold though.
It's hairdo morning, 9.30 appointment, so we'll be out early.
We got the car back yesterday, so that will save had a 25 minute walk to the hairdresser ( she has a salon at home) though the walk would have done us good probably! I don't think we walk enough.
We came home last night from the quiz to see that someone had made a bonfire on the park opposite us, it looked like pallets blazing away. We were followed up the street by a fire engine and they swiftly put the fire out. It looks a bit of a mess now.
I call it a park, but it's not a park in the sense of swings and slides etc, it's grass and some seats with a tarmac path across the middle, quite pleasant.
Hope you have a good day at work Camelot.
In fact, hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Good morning, thanks for starting us Scarlet
Another dull start here, seems to be the way atm, there doesn't seem to be any afternoon as the lights go on about 2 o'clock, I can understand how lonely it must be for you SO and TA.
Someone coming about the wasps nest today.
Izzy, hope your pup is better today and you get some rest later.
Off to have a cuppa before taking big dog out. Have a good day all x9 -
Morning all
It feels damp here but no rain due I think, I am off to collect Rob today and take him to work. We popped in yesterday to see Mars again it was still breathtaking there was also a quartet playing classical music which was nice to sit and listen to for a while, Rob loved it too even though he can’t hear the music bless him.
I bought a pie yesterday from an award winning pie shop in town, Turners pies the owners son was on The Apprentice last year I think, anyway the pies are delicious I got steak and Stilton so we will have that tonight with mash and veg very much looking forward to it.
I will put a wash on before work and dd who is off today will put it on the airer later.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all. Dull again today.
Today I'm back at the Community Larder; we were closed last week so might have a longer queue than usual.
We did a 3 mile walk yesterday but it started with 15 minutes of road walking so I might check out a different route for New Year's Day. We followed that with a pub lunch, which was fine but a bit bread heavy for me. Afterwards we stopped off at a newish cafe for a coffee. It's a former farm with some units, one of which is now a cycle cafe, and it's very eclectic and welcoming. I'd certainly go there there again and might suggest a friend checks it out, as she likes to visit new places like that.
DH is out to lunch with former work colleagues today so I'll pop over and give DD some childcare help after lunch. Her immediate boss works in America so goodness knows what's going on there today
Hope everyone's day goes well.9 -
Morning all...saw my friend yesterday for a catch up. She's a traffic warden and was pushed over by a bloke last week and has possibly broken bones in her hand when she fell. This is the third time she's been attacked physically since she started the job and when I asked how many times the male traffic wardens had had the same thing happen, none have. She's just an easy target because she's a woman. The other lady who works with her has been run over, attacked, and had things thrown over her. The stories she tells me would make your hair curl. I had no idea there were so many drug shops around masquerading as other things in my area for instance. And so many entitled people who think they have the right to park where they like and be damned to safety. I have a wood delivery coming today so stacking that is my job for later and over to OHs mums for tea tonight.SO, don't worry about having nothing say, every day is groundhog day. It's like when you meet someone you haven't seen for ages and you ask what's new, and it's the same, nothing ever happens, we're all just living
Izzy, hope you get some napping in today [ greatest invention ever after 50, napping should be an Olympic sport] I hope she's over the worst of it now. And your friend has had an outing hasn't she..Poor thing. Remmie, I'm afraid I did laugh at being stung by wasps. In the spirit of many a horror movie, who knows what nasties might lurk if you don't clean your shed, but now he's found out...Ruby, your pie sounds lovely, I'm tempted ot make a mince beef and onion for tomorrow now...{I just love pies, any flavour except wooton pie...] Take care all, shout to the mia, thoughts for the poorly..

Morning - I've been gazumped!Yesterday was a busy'ish day. Did a white washing load, did a DW load, made a huge pot of leek and lentil soup and caught up with the banking. Then I lazed. This morning I'm off to the docs with my still scabby ears, the cream I got last month only worked temporarily so she wants to see me.I haven't read back but send all my hugs to those who can use them.9

Hi everyone,
Chaos is resumed. The family got back from the airport at 9pm, disastrously Esben slept on the way back and then woke up and couldn't get back to sleep until 2.30 am! It's his birthday today so I am expecting meltdowns when he gets home from school. I have a cake to ice before then as well.
Esther was very sweet this morning, she is obsessed by Gabby's dollhouse which is a programme about a girl who shrinks down to become a cartoon version of herself to go into her dollhouse populated by cats. It's much better than it sounds but she sings a ditty to shrink herself, pinches the cat ears she wears and hugs her soft toy cat, Esther has the ears and the cat and this morning was following the ritual and then saying "It's not working"
I'm trying not to think about the awful news from America otherwise I think I'd go and hide myself away in my room for four years, people are crazy.
Better go, have a good day everyone.
