BTL Mortgage

I have a BTL Mortgage which runs out at the end of March 2025, where the tenant are leaving the house in the middle of January 2025. Plus I want to change the Mortgage so that it is a standard fixed one from April 2025 so that I can live back in the property

Can I move back into the house after the tenants have moved out in January 2025 when the Mortgage is still a BTL Mortgage?

    You technically can't, but for 3 months I don't think it's going to be a massive issue.

    Officially, no, but I know several people who live in houses they have a BTL mortgage on, it's not that rare. Certainly with only a few months it's probably not going to cause you problems.
    You have two options; move in and keep quiet, or let your BTL lender know what you plan to do
