Good morning Gers, and all to follow.
I think it''s the same weather as yesterday, as far as I can tell, so not too bad.
We weren't out at all yesterday, should have gone for a walk, but the day slipped away.
DH was trying to do something with his oldish computer, and I just pottered.
Going to the book club this morning, and that's about it.
I want to get back into cardmaking, heaven knows I have plenty of card making stuff, and haven't touched any of it this year, so I really need to make an effort. I'm going to try this afternoon.
Hope everyone is ok, and has a good day.
Take care folks.

Good Morning Gers and all to follow.
Damp and dark this morning but still not too cold, I'm managing with the fire lit and no heating, long may it last. I put washing out yesterday for a few hours and it was half dried before the mizzle came on. It's all dry now and will put it away later.
I cleaned the outside of the windows downstairs yesterday - they certainly needed it! Also did a bit of tidying up in the garden. I think I have a hedgehog in the little house I got but not quite sure how to look - I'm certainly not putting my hand in there!
Chats with both DSs last night, the dutch contingent are arriving on Friday not Thursday and the Perth lot coming on Friday night for the weekend, no doubt DD and family will be here too.
Hope everyone is well and you have a happy Monday. Take care. XX13 -

Back, had a bite of breakfast and now need to digest it.The bus journey yesterday was very smooth. I was surprised that it was fully booked, as were the next three during the rest of the day. Some people who hasn't booked were left behind at various places, such a shame. My two family members met me at the bus station to 'carry my (wee) bag'. Lunch at Eusebi's was so lovely, I couldn't finish it all and then the evening entertainment was interesting. The chap was rather disorganised at times, Professor Brian Cox he wasn't, though the visuals were spectacular. No sight or sound of the young ones yet.@Camelot -I hope you have a fabulous family next weekend, and can survive it. 😀
Hugs and thoughts to our poorlies or those who are sad.12 -
Morning all
Back from our little jaunt to Snowdonia- weather was universally grey but mild and dry which was fine. Managed to see some very good friends twice and fix up a holiday together in the winter.Back to college invigilating all week plus catching up with craft work for the fairs at the end of the month.Need a trip to B&M as Bdog is fast running out of treats and that would never do!!😂
Hope everyone has a good week

Good morning all, another dull start but mild and dry.
Yesterday OH came back from his walk with big dog with 2 (uncut) pumpkins he'd been given. I hadn't a clue what to do with them apart from soup, but a google told me to roast the flesh and it's very nutritious for dogs, so I'm going to try that next time the ovens on and freeze in portions. Luckily they're not too big!
More fireworks last night and I'm sure they were louder than the night before. Still no reaction from bd. I really feel for those of you with nervous pets this time of year, been there in the past and it's so upsetting.
Dinner tonight will be chicken curry. I don't think we'll get as many meals as I hoped from this chicken as there didn't seem to be as much meat on it, but will get a sandwich for lunch.
That's it for now, let's see what today brings. Love and hugs to all who need them take care x11 -
Morning! Grey and cloudy but time and tide etc...Allotment playing today, i found a lot of what looks like excellent composy so I'll be moving some of that today, into bags and onto beds. Slowly, obviously, and I am looking forward to it. Plumber came yesterday, he's now done the radiators, and the shower screen and the next job will be the new boilet for him, next job for me is wax and stain the door for the bathroom. And then the next big job is the kitchen. The plumber might also have a lead on a range cooker that might be going for free, so fingers crossed about that. I;ve a trip to the tip to book and I think I can start tidying the house a bit, it all seems a bit like limbo at the moment.Gers, how fabulous that you can all come from different directions and meet at the same time, that's a brilliant spot of organising. Glad the show was good too. camelot, what a shame you couldn't stay but well done on the compromise. Izzy, at least your bus pass is free so you can ride around all day if you feel like it
remmie, are you making stock with the bones? That'll eke it out a bit more so techincally, you'll be making more meals out of it
Allie, good ot hear you had good weather of sorts and a nice weekend. Look after your bad selves all, put some twimkly lights up and enjoy the sparkle

Morning all
No rain due today but it seems like it’s a bit cooler and there is a stiff breeze, I have two people coming today my lady has not been for weeks due to illness so it will be nice to see her they have requested bowling and lunch out so that’s nice and easy.
Not sure about dinner tonight I will go and look in the freezer after this it might be something with chips. I need to hoover this morning and straighten the lounge.
We still have no heating on just managing with the fire in the evenings I try to hold off with the heating till at least November so every day is a bonus.
Camelot your family weekend sounds lovely - enjoy xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all. Mild and dry here.
I spent yesterday recovering after a superb time at the Morris Ale in Limehouse on Saturday night. We were 140 people, started at 6pm and I left at 11.15pm, having played tunes for most of that time. We only stopped to eat the pizza that was delivered plus there were a few display spots. A very successful evening, which we all hope is repeated next year.
Today we have a video call with DH's sister in Sydney to discuss hotel plans for DS's wedding next year and then I'm going over to help DD with a bit of childcare. I've got some beef to pop in the slow cooker before that and I'll add the rest of our h/g butternut squash.
Must get a move on then. Best wishes to all.10 -
Morning everyone
Eldest DD did very well in her Hyrox event yesterday, she was pleased with her time as she was a lot faster than the last one she did - she's working from home today to recover.
I had a lovely Sunday lunch at a local restaurant with DD and little one yesterday, we really enjoyed it. I came home and did a little bit garden tidying then spent the rest of the afternoon reading.
Today I'm back to work at lunchtime and have a parcel to post on my way. I've sold two empty Lego storage boxes on Ebay for £10 each...yes for an empty box!
Little one is back at school and hopefully will manage the whole day. She'd been excited when they left their house but then had screamed and cried and clung to DD when it was time to go in....so not a good start to the day for either of them. We think she is worried they forget to do her tummy, though DD has set alarms on little ones' phone so hopefully all will be ok.
Right I'd better get my jobs done. Hope everyone has a good day today.10
