Ant Alamy image sellers here?

Looking for a small revenue stream and I wondered if anyone uses Alamy

I've been with them for about 9 years - not on any alternative platform, so my images are listed as exclusive.

I have just over 2000 images on there at the moment. You have to go through each one and tag them up - and it's not the most user friendly system - you can batch label as well but that's not always appropriate.

I've sold 58 images over that time period - so about 7-8 a year - and gotten a revenue of $1048 dollars in TOTAL - BEFORE they take their cut - which is huge. My most recent 'sales' have been for 38 American cents each - so that's 19 cents for me!!! And that was for a National newspaper.

If that's the kind of small revenue stream you're thinking of - then give it a go - but don't expect 'hundreds' a month.

Stock photography is a dying market with the advent of AI - and there being just so much competition - even if your images are half decent.

yeah, ive found the tagging the biggest obstacle, might as well list my best on Ebay!

thought about doing calendars but thats only 2 months sales per year

oh well......

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the Alamy commision split has altered and you might well be down to 8 cents for this one.
