Well, after quite the to & fro a couple of years ago: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6390407/im-eligible-for-fully-funded-pv-up-to-10k-replacement-boiler/p1 - it's all back on again!

This time with the same charity, but a different installer (CHS). However - does anyone know if the eligibility criteria have changed, or anything else about the Eco4 Flex scheme? Last time I had to be earning under £31k (I earn under the PA threshold), the house had to have an EPC rating of D or worse, mine was rated E, and it wasn't means tested. I've since read it is now means tested, and those with savings above £16k wouldn't be eligible. Does anyone know if this is the case now?

Thanks!

It can depend on which local authority you are in. I assumed I wasn't eligible for ECO4 because I wasn't in receipt of benefits, apart from state pension. It turned out I was because the LA, who actually examine and approve applications, had a policy to improve the energy rating of the local housing stock.

Oh well, that was a waste of time :-/

Spoke to one of the companies that carry out the installation. Apparently they would only look to replace my boiler, and they wouldn't look to do PV, even though that's what was agreed on first time around. I'm not bothered about my boiler - it's been defunct for years. Oh well.

Is the PV is being funded by ECO4?

Yes. I suppose the thinking is the PV helps to run the heat pump, but is not required for a gas or oil boiler.
