There are no half days for SSP. If one day is due then you should be paid probably one day which would be the weekly rate of SSP divided by the number of qualifying days in the week. The first thing to do is ask your employer (or their payroll dept ) for an explanation as to why none was paid, it might just be an error and they will correct it.
Do you know what days are your qualifying days?1 -
Sounds like you booked a half day holiday for Friday? SSP can only be paid for full days and cannot be paid on days that are paid as holiday. So if you got the half day holiday pay, there is no SSP to pay.1

I didn't book half day for Friday i was taking it unpaid
I was just expecting something for Friday0 -
In that case then a (polite) query to your payroll team to check. It could be your absence management system can't cope with 2 types of leave in one day so payroll don;t even know you were still sick that day.1
