Acknowledging CCA

Sorry I have posted this question on an old thread regarding CCA with Ardent, however not sure if it's been seen. Ardent acknowledged the complaint of crediting £1 PO to account and refunded but still no mention of CCA and still hounding me every day with calls, emails and letters. In the acknowledgement of the complaint they didn't even mention about CCA, just refunded me, it's like they're ignoring the request. PRA also still writing occasionally, however they did acknowledge that they had received request and would contact me. I still get collection emails/letters from them. Would you contact them again reminding them of the request or just leave it for if they try and threaten further action? TIA

Block phone numbers, delete E Mails, but you must open letters just to confirm they are not a letter before action or contain a CCA otherwise ignore them.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

Yep. The debt is unenforceable under the usual act.
I assume you're not paying them anything.
Prioritise enforceable debt0 -
Thanks for reply. Do they ever threaten action when they know they don't have the CCA? The PRA/Barclaycard account is 14 years old, from what I've read they may not be able to produce it.0

Yes, they might threaten it.
Before actually starting a claim they would have to send a formal preaction letter. That would give you an opportunity to remind them about the cca.
I suspect they know that they can't enforce this0 -
And if they were daft enough to try action, your full defence is a copy of your CCA letter and a note that the documentation has not been received. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

In my experience these companies try and insinuate that they might take legal action without explicitly saying so. They mention things like further recovery action etc, which in my case was another letter offering a discount.
They want you to think that they might take it in the hope that you get worried enough to pay, but if they do try you have the defence of asking for the cca.0 -
Thanks - all really helpful as usual. So glad I found this forum!0
