  • Why is moving house so stressful!!!!!!!!

This is just going on and on and on....still no date, we were told today our seller have an issue with boundaries on the house they are buying which they are waiting on answers. How long will this take......how long is a piece of string 😡😡🤬 we have been on the verge of looking for another house. Our poor buyers have been waiting 6ish months for our house (it took us 8 weeks to find a house and they were willing to wait). It's now been 14 weeks since we started proceedings. Is that long??

Half the house is boxed up. It's driving me/us insane. I really hope we are in before December. 🙏

Stressed to high heaven here. The only way to calm down will be a hard run tonight with club. 😡

    Rant over....sorry!

    Let's be happy!!

I wish you well. My aunt and uncles sale has just fallen through & they were half packed & had sold some of their furniture as they were downsizing.

    Morning Diary

    Its been a while 🙈🙈🙈
House sale all fell through beginning of Dec. Huge upset at the time but I think it's all for the best in the long run. Xmas was spent around most of our belongings in boxes tucked in our back room. We have emptied a few just to make house feel like home again.

Our house has been re-advertised last week. So fingers crossed it sells again. There is nothing for sale in the area we want so hoping something comes up soon.  We have a viewing this morning so who knows!!

I'm positive something will come up and our lovely house will sell quickly again.

For years we have been up and down with selling this house. The estate agents must hate us. We sell quickly then because we can't find anything we end up taking it off the market. Over the last 8 years this has happened twice.
This time is different, we are going to move there is more determination to move this time.  We have upped our house budget by £30000 hoping to give us more to choose from.

I'm positive, husband not so much. We are both fussy, him more than me.

Even though I haven't updated thus diary I do come on most days to read others. I just feel I never have much to say.

    I will update soon.....
    Let's be happy!!

Oh Kittencat, horrible that the house sale fell through. Good luck with your next attempt to find somewhere new and sell yours (again).

So sorry to hear the house sale fell through, I read on reddit the housinguk thread and the stress levels are real. Why they cant organise a better system of buying here I dont know.

Maybe do a vision board on what you want the new house to look like/ have/location etc to reinvigorate your search
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
