Skipton mortgage off sick

Hi. I've had a mortgage offer with Skipton. I'm almost at the completion stage. The thing is, I'm not well and have been signed off sick for 2 weeks. This will decrease my income as I only work part time anyway as a carer.
Will this go against me when I am finally ready to complete? I'm not sick often and if I could work I would. Do Skipton ask for more recent payslips when I get my completion date?

If you complete without needing an extension, it is very unlikely they will request more payslips.
But I suppose the bigger question is whether you should complete. Can you afford the mortgage, what happens if you struggle long term etc.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
