Good Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you're safe after the storm.
The wind was howling last night but wasn't as bad here as expected, in fact there were a couple of sunny hours yesterday afternoon.
I spent most of the day knitting and watching TV, a proper day of sloth! Back to work today so will have to up my game for a busy term ahead.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX13 -
After a miserable start yesterday the day was unexpectedly nice. The storm only properly started in the late afternoon, built up slowly then raged and roared all night until about half an hour ago. Heavy rain and a spring tide added to the problems as the sea rose, broken some banks and even covered the nearest canal bridge.Given all that the storm wasn't as fierce as forecasted, at least not here. Places further north had a rougher time. I indulged in my entirely pleasant slobby Sunday, caught up with recorded programmes and emails. This morning have my exercise class, if I can get there as the single track to it was under water yesterday. After that I have some things to drop off to a woman collecting stuff to go to the Ukraine. At teatime I have my winter vaccinations, not sure if it's one jag or two.I really hope that everyone is safe, warm, well and dry.12

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I hope there wasn't any damage for you up there. The strong wind was later arriving here than was forecast and then it wasn't as strong as expected either. Enough to be blowing stuff around but not causing any damage thankfully.
No plans for the day other than putting a colour on my hair at some point but I'm sure there will be jobs lurking if I care to look for them. I need to sort out what I am wearing for SIL's funeral on Wednesday too. Dress code is the traditional black which is unusual for these days and not a colour I usually wear, other than a casual padded coat which gets dragged out every winter. I will probably end up looking like the poor relation!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

Morning everyone winds have died down I normally go for a walk and a coffee with my friend today but we have decided just a coffee today although it’s better than we thought it was going to be and it’s dry . Poor JAWS the fish has died today he has just laid still for a couple of days and when we got up this morning he was gone he was about 12 years old and a whopper I will miss him throwing the gravel of the side of the tank he was a bit of a thug hubby is on emptying the tank we might get another one at the weekend or a couple we couldn’t put anything in with him he just ate them . Gers I’m pleased you are safe take care going to your exercise class TA I have a funeral coat it gets dragged out when I have to go to one . Housework to do when I come back and there’s plenty of beef left for a sandwich at lunch time and I will make a beef dinner out of what’s left tonight. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Wind and rain all day yesterday and today is much the same, I’m glad to see Gers and Camelot were not affected.
Rob is due this morning unless I get a phone call between now and 10, we are going to meet our friends and go and see mars at the local cathedral, it’s a huge display that they put on hanging from the rafters and lit up, last time they did earth which was beautiful, we will take a picnic lunch with us and have a coffee afterwards.
Dinner tonight will be something with chicken breasts I might do a creamy mushroom sauce and do some pasta with it, house is looking tidy enough but I will run the hoover round later.
OH bought a new car yesterday we are going to collect it on Friday afternoon he is very excited by it all and spent ages telling me all the different features it has 🙄😬
Got to get mum some bread and milk today and drop it round, she phoned yesterday evening to tell me she had none it made me a bit frustrated as a while ago I arranged a bread and milk delivery along with veg once a week so she would always have bread and milk in but she cancelled it after two weeks and now she keeps running out !Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning everyone
I'm up and ready early this morning as I'll get the bus down to work soon, for our trip to the pumpkin patch. I expect it will be very muddy as it rained a lot yesterday.
Little one has an appointment with her consultant at Newcastle this morning, they stayed there last night to save driving down early this morning.
Izzy that seems a big age for our goldfish? Mind various ones the girls had over the years never lasted long, most of them seemed to escape down the plug hole when they were trying to clean them out! It was always ' no mum it wasn't my fault!'
Always Allie I hope the painkillers do the trick
Best make a move Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
@Ruby - I wish I were close enough to see the Mars sculpture, it looks stunning. I was watching Prof Brian Cox's Solar programme last night (recorded from a couple of weeks ago), there was a lot about the volcanoes on Mars. Fascinating.
