I don't really know why, I posted in the main debt free wannabe forum.
I am doing ok, gone down from £30,000 last September to £16,000. Unlikely to be able to be debt free by this time next year but you never know. Although I am budgeting for Xmas etc I know, due to all birthdays, car MOT and service and Xmas I will probably use the extra I am paying debts down over December and that will slow me down.
I just feel really low at the long slog of it all. I know on my earlier post I am not alone in this feeling.
Not sure why I am repeating myself with this thread but maybe it will help to write down all the waffle.
6 cards and 1 loan.
By the end of this month it will be down to 5 cards. The loan will be the last thing to be paid off.
Why oh why do I feel like this.

You feel like this because it is hard, and it isn't second nature to you yet. You can do this. You have done brilliantly so far. The alternative is a death spiral into debt and self-hate for doing so, so it's not any sort of alternative you want.Highlanddream said:...

Try to look forwards to Christmas and the luxury of having saved for the Christmas you can afford. Celebrate paying all the other bills that need paying - if you can pay them without having to borrow another penny you are doing really well! You need to pat yourself on the back each time you pay a bill without having to borrow to pay it off.
I know from experience that the end will come at a bit of a rush, but that hasn't happened yet and won't for another 12 months or so, so keep going! The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.2 -
I hopefully won't have to borrow to pay the bills, but it will affect the amount I have to pay down , which will annoy me, lol. I am normally a really cheerful person so really don't understand my thoughts about this. I have decided to take an easy month when all the cards are paid off.tacpot12 said:

I put the money on short term debt rather than having a mortgage so when I pay this off I am really debt free. I should be counting my lucky stars not moaning about being half way through. 😂Sept 24 : £32000 Sep 25 - £10356 Feb 26 - £7586

Very pleased, one credit card 0% ends end of Jan next year just applied for an M&S one and got another 20 months with 3 months to do the transfer, perfect! I am hoping to have paid off all the cards in 20 months ( less fingers crossed). I think the loan will take me some time.

It was the original offer in April, don't know why they didn't just accept it. Same has happened last 3 or 4 years 🤔*Dad loan - £5300 - £7000

The unions wanted to make ours 10% , I really can't see that happening somehow. 😂Sarahwithlove said:It was the original offer in April, don't know why they didn't just accept it. Same has happened last 3 or 4 years 🤔Sept 24 : £32000 Sep 25 - £10356 Feb 26 - £7586

Just realised I have doubled my income since Christmas 23.
I am aiming to pay off two cards before Christmas, will be left with 3 cards and one loan next year. The three cards will take me 12 months. Then just one loan.
